About us

CFO2GO is an American-owned and managed accounting and finance advisory services firm based in the Czech Republic. The company also maintains a small office in Boston, Massachusetts devoted to preparing US and state individual income tax returns for US citizens and foreign persons taxable in the United States.

John Mohr is the principal director of CFO2GO and is based out of the Prague office. He is fluent in English, Czech and German and has forgotten more Russian than he would like to admit! He holds an MBA in finance from the acclaimed University of Pittsbugh Katz School, and a BA in International Relations from Brown University a US ivy league school in Providence, Rhode Island.

Mr. Mohr has spent all of his professional life in Europe, including 10 years in the Czech Repubic, four years in Moscow, two years in Germany, one year in Austria and one year in Gibraltar. He served as Manager of Finance and set up General Electric’s shared services platform in Moscow in 1995-98, performed due diligence on financial services firms with GE Capital in Austria, Romania and the Czech Republic in 1998-99. At the same time he was the senior financial analyst to GE Capital Global Consumer Finance with responsibility for Central and Eastern Europe. In 1999 he relocated to the Czech Republic and served two years as a turn-around manager for the Czech Direct Equity Fund, a joint venture between the EBRD, Credit-Anstalt and Albion Alliance.

He formed CFO2GO in 2002 as an interim financial manager, introducing tax preparation and consulting services in 2006 and outsourced accounting services to SMEs in 2007.. In November 2008, he launched the 24-7 online outsourced accounting service, which now uses the FlexiBee solution from Winstrom.

Mr. Mohr has acquired experience in the financial services, IT, telecomm, aircraft manufacturing, media, real estate and consulting industries and looks forward to applying his knowledge to new projects.
