CFO2GO is an American-owned and managed accounting and finance advisory services firm based in the Czech Republic. The company also maintains a small office in Boston, Massachusetts devoted to preparing US and state individual income tax returns for US citizens and foreign persons taxable in the United States.

CFO2GO's mission and vision

Operating in the Czech Republic means for both of our client segments moving in between a domestic and one or more foreign regulatory jurisidictions. Their business stakeholders are increasingly transnational. They realize that to be successful, they need to generate timely, accurate accounting and management information and act to stay abreast of changing regulatory requirements. Most local and even foreign SME accounting firms are unable to meet these requirements.

We are a network of business professionals based in Boston and Prague committed to assisting clients to achieve their operating and strategic objectives when internal or alternative means of doing so are inadequate to the task. We seek to advance your objectives by meeting your short-term needs and positioning you to take advantage of future opportunities.We seek to provide you a forum to learn and exchange information that is meaningful to the entrepreneurial experience in the Czech Republic and abroad.

John Mohr is the principal director of CFO2GO and is based out of the Prague office. He is fluent in English, Czech and German and has forgotten more Russian than he would like to admit! He holds an MBA in finance from the acclaimed University of Pittsbugh Katz School, and a BA in International Relations from Brown University a US ivy league school in Providence, Rhode Island.

Mr. Mohr has spent all of his professional life in Europe, including 10 years in the Czech Repubic, four years in Moscow, two years in Germany, one year in Austria and one year in Gibraltar. He served as Manager of Finance and set up General Electric's shared services platform in Moscow in 1995-98, performed due diligence on financial services firms with GE Capital in Austria, Romania and the Czech Republic in 1998-99. At the same time he was the senior financial analyst to GE Capital Global Consumer Finance with responsibility for Central and Eastern Europe. In 1999 he relocated to the Czech Republic and served two years as a turn-around manager for the Czech Direct Equity Fund, a joint venture between the EBRD, Credit-Anstalt and Albion Alliance.

He formed CFO2GO in 2002 as an interim financial manager, introducing tax preparation and consulting services in 2006 and outsourced accounting services to SMEs in 2007.. In November 2008, he launched the 24-7 online outsourced accounting service running on the TWIST ERP system developed by Beep, s.r.o.

Mr. Mohr has acquired experience in the financial services, IT, telecomm, aircraft manufacturing, media, real estate and consulting industries and looks forward to applying his knowledge to new projects!

Joyce Mohr is the director of the CFO2GO Boston office. She holds a BA from Boston University with a major in English and a minor in education. She is enrolled with the IRS to represent corporations, partnerships and individuals.

Ms. Mohr acquird her initial experience in the managing tax offices for a major US individual tax preparation company – 3 years (1999-2003 for a regular store front office and 3 years (2006-2008) for the premium services office. Over the last 5 years she has also acted as a software quality assurance analyst lead for the Macintosh product Federal Tax.

She has been teaching students in Boston for more than 5 years about US federal tax and Massacusetts state tax. She has personally taught courses in international personal tax , rental real estate, depreciation, and the Enrolled Agent Prep course (taught for the Mass Society of Enrolled Agents)

Most of her work is with high net worth individuals possessing international / estate / trust and gift tax issues. She routinely assists clients with the IRS in response to audits, collections procedures and other IRS matters.
